Casey Lownes led Williamson and Mike Glenn finished 2nd for the team as Williamson finished 15th out of 26 colleges with runners at the 2008 Philly Metro Small College Championships. Ameer Fields was 3rd, freshman Joe Harris 4th and senior Perry Greto 5th to round out the scoring for Williamson. Williamson finished 3rd among junior colleges behind only nationally ranked Cumberland and Gloucester. The team will be back at it again at the Belmont Invitational this Saturday with the race beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. [close] |

The Mechanics ran their best race of the year as they finished tied for 6th out of 13 teams and upended 2 junior college opponents along the way in the prestigious Albright College Invitational. Pat McGonigle led the way for the team and Casey Lownes and Mike Glenn also ran extremely well for Williamson. The team now sets its sights on the 2008 NJCAA Region XIX championships at Gloucester County College on October 25. [close] |
